The EOCare working environments are based on the Ubuntu LinuxOperating System and basically provide access to a standard suite of well-known open source tools, including:
- Image processing software such as SNAP
- Geographic Information Systems tools such as QGIS
- Processing libraries such the Orfeo Toolbox (OTB), the Sentinel Toolboxes or GDAL
Besides, trainers are granted administrator rights on the working environment that will be provided to them. They can thus install any additional software they need. This means all software compatible with a Linux OS, either free open-source or commercial off-the-shelf, provided in this last case they own the corresponding license.
